The Summer has begun and so has has our busy traveling schedule. Memorial Day weekend we headed for a weekend trip to Trenton, MI to visit Jon's parents new home and hang out with Ann and Andy and Jon's parents for the weekend. It was a fun trip besides the 6 hour road trip each way (not so much a fan of road trips through Chicago)...
June 4th-6th weekend, we went to Wis Rapids for the weekend and hung out with my parents and just relaxed.. Then on Sunday we all (parents,Kara and Arron and Jon an I) headed to Green Bay for a cookout with Erin and Erin and my nephews (Connor 21 months, Aiden 3 months). See pictures above. We had a fun time and I was excited to meet Aiden and chase Connor around for an afternoon:)
This weekend we went camping at Long Lake with my parents, grandparents and Kara and her boyfriend Arron. We had fun camping even though the weather was not the greatest.. we had occasional showers and never saw the sun. We still had fun playing games, biking into town for ice cream, eating a lot, fishing, and enjoying campfires.
This month is jam packed with fun summer travels as it is the one month of out 4 that Jon has weekends off in his rotation of work... Some people probably think we are crazy with all this family time every weekend but we love it. Our summer fun with family continues next week up north with Jon's family for a whole week and then at my Uncle Dan's cabin for the 4th of July weekend with the SMITS family (can't wait to see baby Kennedy again!)... THEN we might stay home for the rest of the summer:) Just have everyone come visit us, while Jon is working weekends again:(
I will post pics from vacation up north when we get back. Looking forward to a full week of sitting on the beach getting a tan, reading books, biking the trails and just relaxing and spending time with Jon and family with no worries of life while on vacation.Hoping for a week of sunshine.. Just have to make it through 6 consecutive days of work before VACATION!! The countdown begins..... Loving summer and lovin life!
