O January....

O January are you done yet??? Its my least favorite month of the year. Every year I say Next JANUARY I am going on vacation because it truly is my least favorite month of the year. Its the christmas holiday let down, cold temps, tons of sickness (stomach flu x2 in Jan for me), holiday credit card bills, trying to eat healthy and winter blahs.....makes me want to fly away to Mexico!

Plus Feb goes fast and then Spring seems to come, or so it feels like:) On a plus side my parents visited twice this month so that was great and Ben loved time with his grandparents.  It was nice that Jon had some weekends off  in January this year though even though germs kept us home from going anywhere. Ben stays healthy but just likes to carry germs home so Jon and I get sick!!!  (Jon is currently enjoying his snowmobile trip this weekend though:)

On to postive things like BEN
.. Ben is doing great. He is talking up a storm and getting into trouble. He loves saying BuhBye to everyone. HE can sure make his needs known but his babbling, talking and pointing. He is really starting to love watching a show like Sesame Street Elmo, Dora or an animated movie.  He will sit stil for 20 minutes. It comes in handy when you have to unload the dishwasher or something but a show or two a day is enough and he plays well with his toys the rest of the time. I wish we had a little snow for him to play outside in but just flurries around here.   (picture above was from our trip to Central WI to see my parents)

Ben is growing a ton.. I have to move him up to size 6 shoes, wearing mainly 24month/2T clothes and outgrowing most of his pants by length... I think he might be a tall kid.. hmmm.  He is a picky eater but will chow down on chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, hot dogs, pizza, yogurt, fruit/veggie purees and all fruit.. He still never eats a real veggie though we keep trying and is picky about new things and variety in his diet.

Ben is loving his new longer afternoons at daycare and has become a pro at taking naps on his sleeping bag at daycare. He loves his friends there and all the activities.. Jon says sometimes he just runs down the hall to his class and could care less when his daddy leaves;)  I love his social outgoing personality:)

This spring I am looking forward to being in a friends wedding and all those festivities, hopefully a waterpark hotel trip with Ben, and visits with friends and family. I am also getting really excited about how fun this summer will be with Ben for White birch vacation, camping,  zoo trips (we got a zoo pass!) , parks and playing outside.

So happy last week in January!! Bring it on February, we like you more:)  Okay one plus about January is clearance sales.. stocked up on bigger clothes for Ben for super cheap!!
