Ben's biggest accomplishment is that he is walking ALL over and fast! He wipes out but walks well and even carrys things while walking and has figured how to stand up without pulling up on something.
Ben babbles and sings all the time.. the only jibberesh we can understand is mama, dada, bubba, nigh night..
Ben still loves his bottle. We are trying to get him to like a sippy cup and transition to whole mil kin a cup this next month but not sure how successful that will be as he loves his bottle. Ben holds his bottle on his own all the time but still prefers laying in our lap when having a bottle, especially at bedtime.
We have been doing finger foods but Ben is dramatic!! He eats puffs, yogurt melts, veggie straws, buttered bread and those are the consistent things he has every day.. we keep trying veggies, fruit and other food cut up that we eat and he just hits it away and wont open his mouth. He still refuses almost anything on a spoon although he did eat jello and sorbet recently. He finally tried a couple of french fries out to eat and seemed to like those...slowly hoping we can get him to eat some fruits, veggies, cheese and meat.
Ben sleeps 8:30-5:30, has a bottle and goes back to bed til 730/8 most of the time. Sometimes he wakes and cant find his nuk and gets mad so I stick a nuk in his mouth and back to sleep he goes.. I need to get him to do that though... He consistently takes a 2 hour nap sometime during the day.. sometimes morning and sometimes afternoon.
Ben loves swinging, stroller walks, bike rides, exploring, listening to music, dancing and playing with all kinds of toys. He also really is liking books which I love. He also loves a short dvd like veggie tales. He loves nursery and daycare with other kids. The more people the better. He is a little ham!
Also finding daddy's TV remote is a serious jackpot for Ben. He walks around holding it with the biggest grin. He loves remotes.
He is now transitioning to more 18-24 month clothes... cant wait to show off his packer jersey this fall:)
His birthday bash is coming up and we can't wait to celebrate.. hoping he might even eat some cake or frosting by then.
