We had some big changes since my last post.. In the past week Ben has transitioned to all formula and bottle feeding and seems to be doing so much better as he prefered the bottle anyways. I guess something in my breastmilk most have bothered his tummy regularly. On formula, he eats better, no screaming during or 30 min after eating like before, he poops more regularly and without as much pain and screaming and is a lot more content and happy and less fussy. I must say its kind of nice to share feedings with Jon and grandparents when they visit too and nice for me to get my body to myself again :) Its seems to be the best fit for the both of us right now and a lot easier when i return to work in 6 weeks.
The other change is the Ben start sleeping in his crib overnight and no longer the swing or carseat! We have found that the Halo swaddle sleepsack is the perfect combo as he can be swaddled but not get out of it like a swaddled blanket. Ben has slept 3 to 5 hours at a time overnight in that:) I just ordered another halo sleepsack online tonight.
We had some visitors at our house at the end of this week. My parents came to town for a couple of days to stay with us. It was great to have them here and we had fun with Ben and going out and hanging out with my sister Kara and her husband Arron too.
Of course Grandma bought Ben something when were shopping:)
Ben has been loving his playmat lately especially since we put batteries in it and it lights up, plays music and has a spinning mobile. (see picture) Ben loves looking at the lights (any lights) and the mobile. He also has been doing pretty good at tummy time, moving his head up and looking side to side. I am proud :) He loves being on his tummy and i think if he could have it his way, he would sleep that way too however he sleeps on his back for now as that is what is safest..
Pictures above are the playmat, Ben with his Grandma Sandy and Ben laying on my lap on his tummy which he tends to think is the greatest thing..
This next week Ben and I are looking forward to a couple of days in Wis Rapids to meet up with my cousin Sara and her daughter Kennedy for some fun while Jon is hunting:)
Happy Fall:)
