Recipe for a Great Weekend at Home

(So we were looking forward to having our friends from out of town, a family of 4, stay at our house this weekend but kids got sick and they couldn't come:( so instead here is what evolved into a great weekend despite the cancelled plans....)

Friday
- Dinner out with Jon and Emmy
-Shopping and renting a movie at home with Emmy while Jon was at work

Saturday (Emmy stayed over and was also a part of this fun day)
- Racine Farmers Market (not soo impressed, Milwaukee area ones are better!)
- Mocha Lisa for an iced Latte
- Garage Sales
- Lunch at Red Onion
- Went to North Beach in Racine got some sun while reading magazines
- Had a cookout dinner party with 4 adult friends and one cute well-behaved toddler
- Played Cranium with our friends and enjoyed blueberry cobbler dessert made by Emmy

Sunday
- Church
- An afternoon to myself while Jon had plans w/ friends (love time alone sometimes:)
- Outlet mall Shopping
- An hour long phone call with Sara:)
- Sitting on the deck enjoying a hard lemonade and pretzels while reading a Good book
- Waiting for Jon to come home so we can watch a movie

After the past 6 weekends away, it was so nice to have a weekend at home and relax. Thank God for weekends to refresh us.. especially when working full time! AND the good news is that we are home most of rest of weekends this summer.. Can't wait to enjoy all that Milwaukee/ Racine has too offer...

Oh and now that one not so fun thing you can leave out of your recipe for a good weekend.. the laundry alarm buzzing.. off to fold clothes...
