My ponderings lately have been how fast life can change in the course of a week. This week we heard news that my cousin Tanner age 14 was at Children's Hospital in MN with a mass in his lungs. This was a complete shock to us. I knew that Tanner had Pneumonia symptoms at Christmas but he was not getting better so they took him back in and found a mass in his lungs. He had numerous tests this week and found out he has T cell lymphoma. Tanner is an active teen who loves basketball and the youngest of 3 boys, his brothers off at college. I am close to my extended family and I would ask for your prayers.
Its amazing to think how quickly that tanner's life and the life of his family have changed just in the past few days. Everyone is optomistic and knows that treatment is available and his condition is curable but its still scary. Our family is all Christians who have truly learned the value of God's healing touch through prayer as we prayed and watched our Uncle Dale miraculously recover this past year and half from his aortic dissection and massive stroke. God is still good.
So once again, we will go to our knees in prayer for Tanner and for the family. Prayers for healing, prayers for wisdom for DR's, prayers for support for the family, prayers for courage. strength and laughter. Prayers that this unfortunate circumstance will bring others to him. Please join me in prayer for this active smiling teen who has a great life ahead of him.
