This weekend I am catsitting for Ginger, Emmy's beloved cat. Don't get me wrong, I am not a cat person and despise 99.9% of cats in the world however this dumb cat, Ginger tends to be the only cat I like. Probably because I knew Ginger since she was a little little kitten when Emmy was my roomate and the darn orange colored cat grew on me and now I am attached although I hate to admit it. Jon also became attached to the cat, but doesn't always admit that he loves the darn mischevious thing.
Well this weekend, Emmy was going out of town and since Ginger gets into trouble and can't be left alone for more than a day, I thought I would be entertained by the creature for the weekend and take her to our home in Racine and as she would like it.
So far she keeps trying to scratch and meow by the back door because she wants to attack the bird feeder, she has jumped 6 feet up onto our large bookshelf, climbed into a hole in the bottom of our old lounge chair (the hole she made when weighed about 5lbs as a kitten) thankfully she didn't get stuck (2nd picture).. She also finds it amusing to hide under the bed and lay under the kitchen table... She seems to like all the windows and birds around here... She is pretty darn cute. We have doors shut to keep her in certain areas in the house and overnight she is confined to the bathroom and bedroom because otherwise I feel that she may knock down picture frames or knock over our thin lightweight TV... which Jon would be furious about.
Its entertaining none the less.. I enjoy a pet for a weekend, then I will give her back:)
