Normal Monotony

Its about time for an update, huh? Well the truth is I haven't had much exciting to post about. I was waiting for my friend Emmy to email me some pictures from some things we did together this fall, but I haven't recieved them yet so I thought I would update without pictures.SEND PICTURES EMMY!

How is life for us? Good and a tad boring. Jon is in the prime of hunting season, being gone about 3day/nights a week for most of November. He loves it though and I get used to him being gone, its only temporary. So far he hasn't "caught a deer" yet. He hates when I say it like that :) ha! Hopefully he will have some good luck this weekend. I also gave Jon the golden approval to go BEAR HUNTING with an outfitter in Northern WI in September this year. its quite a big price tag but he only gets the chance once every 8 years, so it will be his christmas/bday/anniversary/everything present for the next year. I like to remind him how lucky he is to have a wife that supports his hunting dreams:)

IN other areas...We are settling into a routine of cooking more, working out together and watching TV in the evenings. We just started doing a new devotional together, "Closer" and its really great the discussions it bring out.

I am not working much at all... like only 2 weekends in November and about 4 other days TOTAL. So i am home alot and being unproductive. I honestly think I would be more productive if I worked full time and had a schedule. I found myself wasting away the day. The only good thing is that I have been working out more and cooking more often, even a little baking. I have also been doing a little job hunting for more work, and haven't heard back from anywhere yet. The economy is still a little glum. I know God has a great plan for me and I am just trying to be patient to wait for more hours and income.

Today I might even tackle some of the leaves outside since Jon is spending all of his days off hunting, I know he won't get to it. You know i am bored if I am contemplating raking leaves! :)

I really would like to plan a vacation this winter, but unsure of my job situation and money coming in so we might have to wait. I want to go somewhere with Jon for a long weekend like maybe D.C. or California or something, hopefully it can happen.

I am sooo very excited though that two of my closest friends are coming for a visit in the next 2 months, Gina from AZ for a night and Erin from MN over New years for a few days. I have the greatest friends in the world but 3 out of my 5 closest friends all live hours away! It makes me love the phone calls and visits to come. I think I will for sure have a visit to MN in early winter.

So life is is status quo, a tad boring but I am trying to make the most of it and do things i never have time for like reading a book or baking or anything fun like that. I am also excited that Jon and I can both go to Church on Sunday, and try out a new church. With my 2/weekends a month schedule and Jon's hunting we haven't been able to do that. I think that will be a huge deal for us to make a decision about a church home and get involved.

Have a great week! Happy November (can you believe its november already?? I can't!)
