We had a great time at my Uncle Dan and Aunt Gwen's cabin over the fourth of July. There was about 25 of us there and we had a great time. There was a lot of boating, badminton, bean bag toss, ladder golf, sitting around, eating and swimming. We had 3 boats (1 pontoon, 2 ski boats) , 2 kayaks,, 1 cabin, 2 campers, 3 tents and one portapotty since thier septic system in the cabin couldn't handle us all:) There were also 4 small dogs on the property that were there from everyone so that was interesting as they all actually played well together . Jon is with "ranger" which is Sara and kevin's dog. It was fun to see my younger cousins and watch them ski, tube and hang out with family. I have a great extended family that loves to be together, we have a lot of fun. I wish everyone could have made it including my siblings and my Unce Dale's family. Hopefully next year whenever we all go to the cabin, everyone can make it a priority for next year and be in the country (like Kara! ).
For the 4th of July, we went out on the 3 boats on the lake and watched the fireworks. Its crazy how up noth so many people bought expensive fireworks that go way up in the air. It was like a show several hours long before the city fireworks where houses around the lake would light off fireworks into the sky. It was the most fireworks i have seen. The town's fireworks were good too and right over our boats. It was really fun to hang out on the lake in boats anchored together. Much more fun than massive fireworks in Racine or Milwaukee.
We had a great weather and it was just a great fun weekend! I was so glad that it worked out for Jon to be able to go too with his work schedule. .Now if only my husband would let me take a picture of the two of us to prove it! I do like the picture of him above though, it makes me chuckle!
