So Winter officially starts today,Dec 21 according to the calendar, but i have had enough already! In the past week to have had over 14 inches of snow fall, blizzard conditions, and now drifting snow and subzero temperatures.. its crazy. AND it is just the beginning we have several more months of this! Sometimes I wonder why I live here. I love the change of seasons but a more mild version of 4 seasons would be more appealing... The only good thing I keep thinking about is our Mexico trip coming up in 19 days.. I cannot wait to sit in the sun and be warm.. heavenly.
I am also getting anxious for Christmas to be here.. the main thing I am looking forward to is spending 3 full days with Jon off of work and visiting Rapids for Christmas Eve and then his family in Racine on Christmas. Jon won't have this holiday off probably for the next 5 years.. :(
I look forward to seeing all of my extended family that I haven't seen in a long time including my Smits cousins and seeing my little nephew, Connor again for the second time! Its been 3 months, way too long! Its funny how Christmas changes as you grow up. As I kid I always looked forward to the presents... Now i look forward to the holiday to see relatives and spend time together more than anything, that means more to me. Sometimes I even forget about all the giving and recieving of presents but it is all fun. We are soo blessed.
I also look forward to attending the Candlight christmas eve service with Jon and my family to celebrate Christ's Birth!
