Ben is 10 months old already! At 10 months, he mostly sleeps from 8:30-5:30 am before waking to need a bottle then goes back to sleep til 8 am. Wish we could make it that 12 hour stretch but he is starving.. He normally takes a 2 hour nap sometime mid day.
We still struggle with solid food.. He will fight with you and eat about 10 spoonfuls of a puree/baby food on a good day but then clench his mouth shut. On a bad day, he just gags to the point of choking. We have tried yogurt melts, applesauce, real yogurt and mashed potatoes, puffs, sliced real soft fruit (very small), homemade baby food, everything. For finger foods, he will put in his mouth but then it just sits on his tongue and he gags and gags and acts like his choking and then he pukes. So frustrating! The doctor didn't seem concerned at 9 months but he really has to start eating by a year. We tried infant feeder (putting babyfood in a bottle), he just refuses that so that didn't work either. If we let him go til he is starving, he refuses the food even more and if we give 1/2 bottle then try food, he always pukes. So that is our biggest struggle. We are looking forward to the end of buying formula in sight :) well considering he starts solids....
On to other things.... Ben is pulling up on everything and can stand on his own for about 30 seconds. He loves opening cabinent doors, drawers, pulling on curtains, cords, everything. We need to do second round of childproofing. We just put a gate in front of the TV as he loves pulling down the soundbar and pushing buttons! He is a power crawler and if he he hears the front door open when home with a babysitter, he books it fast to find out his mama is home! Ben is also really starting to love board books and being read to. He also loves all his toys, especially the ones that make noise.
Ben says MAMA and DADA and sometimes nigh-night.... He just started giving high fives and he has figured out how to undo his diaper straps when getting changed! little stinker! He also tries to sing when I start singing to him, its adorable. He loves to sing like his mommy:)
We are trying to start to limit his nuk but he still likes it a few min after a bottle and to get to sleep.
Ben loves people. He enjoys his few hours a week at daycare and even hanging out with friends at church nursery. Ben prefers a crowd over being home with his parents;) He also loves swimming and prefers the big pool in mommy's arms over his kiddy pool. Ben also loves the beach and camping. He also loves stroller rides and biking on the back of mommy's bike.
He wears 12-18 month clothes.. he is starting to slow down a little with growing which is alright by me. He still doesn't have a single tooth that is all the way through but the top and bottom two are close I think.
already starting to plan his 1 year birthday bash!! Cannot believe its only 2 months away.
