Wow 9 months old already!

Our baby Ben is 9 months old a week ago! Time flies. He is getting close to 1 and  I am already getting excited about his birthday.  Ben is a big boy at 22 lbs and 30 inches. 97 % for height and 99% for head size! ( most toddler hats/ bike helmets don't even fit! )  He is a happy boy. His favorite thing is to pull up on EVERYTHING.. he even pulls up on us just grabbing our pants.  He loves to explore and crawl around and furniture walk. He is trouble!  Its fun though.  He still REFUSES baby food, people food, solids.. anything but formula in a bottle or water in a sippy cup.   He just pinches his mouth shut or else gags and pukes if he does try it. On a rare occasion, he might eat a few bites. We keep trying the doctor thinks eventually he will give in.  He still doesn't have a tooth officially poke through yet but they look like they are all coming soon.

Lately we have been having trouble with sleeping..... and him just wanted to stand in his crib and scream and stopped going down well... SO since we have vacation coming up we decided to try our best to get him sleeping and adjusted to the pack n play for vacation so we did the cry it out method.. going in every 10 minutes to soothe him but not  letting him leaving the room. Last night he cried for 1 hr 20 minutes... tonight 10 minutes then sleeping by 20 minutes. I hope this trend continues, tough love works i guess. But is hard to hear him cry for that long!   He still sometimes wakes up at 3 and wants a bottle.. I haven't let him cry that out yet as I know that kid needs to eat more since he refused solids and has been sick lately but the doctor said he could skip that bottle. We will work on that next. 

Ben has a rough start to 9 months.. his first trip to the ER and first fever (103) on Monday. Found out he has a bad ear infection in both ears, so a little ibrophen and antibiotic shot (best thing since ben refused meds too and then pukes).. He is on the mend!!!   So glad to have my happy baby back.

We are so excited for vacation coming up with family!!  Can't wait to share pictures. I think Jon is most excited about taking Ben out in a boat.  Praying we have good weather and sunshine up north.
