Well Ben is now 7 months old as of today Easter Sunday! The past month went really really fast. Not a whole lot has changed for Ben the past month. The biggest thing is that he completely sit on his own and can play with toys sitting up independently. He also gets up on all 4s and can scoot backwards but hasn't quite got crawling figured out yet. He still doesn't like any baby food/melt in mouth things but we keep trying. On a rare occasion he will eat about 5 spoonfuls. He is starving though and would like 2 bottles at bedtime so he really should eat solids. We have tried every kind and brand and he just clenches his mouth shut and won't even open. He appears to be teething big time but no teeth as broken through quite yet. His sleep for the most part isn't any better and sometimes worse. Why has his sleep regressed from month 4 on??? Wish I knew. We tried to let him cry it out but after 90 minutes, Ben sweating hot and shaking cuz he was so mad, we gave up, maybe we wil try again. He is getting a little better and more predictable with napping but still short naps, maybe 2 naps at 45min each for the day. Last night he woke up every hour screaming even with some meds to help with teething. We feed him only 1/2 bottle over night. Sometimes I get so frustrated because he is harder baby now then he was at a newborn or 3 months with sleeping. However during the day he is happy and smiling and babbling DA DA and other cute things so you kind of forget about how bad the night was!:) It does make for a sleep deprived mama though!
I am thinking about trying the pack n play for naps and cribs see if that helps. Open for suggestions too.
Hoping that 7 months is Ben's lucky month to learn to eat food, sleep ALL NIGHT and CRAWL:) well he could wait on crawling, then I have a lot of babyproofing to do!

Teething does have a lot to do with him not sleeping. Zion doesn't sleep well either when he is teething. And yes, there was a time when he didn't sleep well. He slept great as a newborn and then went through a phase just like Ben. Hang in there! It will get better!! Call me if you need to.
