Tis the Season for the Holidays...
Once Thanksgiving passes, it gets a little crazy in my opinion. I love the Christmas season but sometimes I just wish it would slow down for a little bit. Last night we got our tree and it was accomplished quite quickly. We walked up to the tree lot, Jon found a tree that was about a foot taller then him, shaked it up and took it to the cashier. No need messing around looking for hours in the cold or analyzing the price. It kind of cracked me up. It actually is a pretty good tree. See pictures above as we were goofing around.
I have the majority of my Christmas shopping done, just ordered christmas cards and Jon wrapped half the gifts last night. (I am not the best gift wrapper). December is just such a busy month with birthdays of friends, friends visiting from out of town, Kara's graduation, and I also work one weekend. I would just like about a week off work to really enjoy everything about the season and get it all done!
Today its snowing, I think I might just stay home, get some presents wrapped, laundry done and clean up around here. Kind of feel like baking but not sure if i have the ingredients around. I also want to get my BSF lesson done and maybe read my book.
I just hope we don't all rush around so much this month that we forget the real reason for this great Christmas season. Jesus is the Reason for the Season! May God be near to us this time of year and always.
