I had a wonderful New Years weekend.. I didn't take as many photos as i would have liked to though. It was so great to have my friend Erin visit and hang out, go shopping, watch movies, bum around Milwaukee and go out to eat alot:) I really wish we lived closer to each other, she flew in from MN and it was nice she didn't have to allow for driving time back home! We ended up going to Bonefish Grill on Sat night and I highly recommend it and i don't even eat seafood besides a possible a bite of bang bang shrimp appetizer. Thier steak is amazing and they have the best sangria.
I also got 2 new pieces of art now hanging on my wall. The first a close up photo of a tulip opening that Erin took (she is a photographer). She was so sweet to give me the photo in a nice matted frame as a housewarming gift. The title is "beginnings" and she thought the photo was fitting for our move to Racine and our new chapter of life at this home. I LOVE IT. Its on display by our back picture window. Secondly, I went to the Starving Art Show in Racine on Sunday and I bought a 8x10 canvas painting and had that framed. It was such a great price and i feel the need to still add a little decorating touch around here.
My task today is dechristmas-fying. We haven't done that yet. I always feel like the house looks so BARE after you take the christmas decor down but at least my 2 new art pieces will be exciting to look at... I may leave a few snowmen up for a couple of months. Now its back to BORING January- my least favorite month. I really need a vacation to look forward to but no money for it right now.
I am really hoping for good luck this month in hearing about another job that is more hours.. I just pray and leave it in God's hands but its hard to be patient when i would rather be working then sitting at home all winter during the week.
Happy 2010 and let's all hope this January and winter passes quickly so we can enjoy the 3 better seasons in Wisconsin!!
