Its the final week before christmas. CRAZY how fast time goes. I enjoy this time of year but there is something to be said about getting back to routine and normal spending habits in January. Although January is my LEAST favorite month of the year. I am starting to think about some new years goals to make..
I have to update that I think I should post my wishes more often on here, as one came true the next day. I found out Jon is NOT getting laid off, which is a HUGE answer to prayer with the pending budget concerns where we live. It was a great Christmas present to find out that great news before christmas.
Jon and I decided to forgo Christmas gifts for each other and instead use money to plan a weekend/midweek getaway trip together in January or Feb, so I am trying to find a good place to go.. I am thinking Minoqua with some cross country skiing.. any winter getaway suggestions??? Jon is thinking he should take me snowmobiling for the first time, we will see about that...
I feel really blessed this year with my time off this month that I was able to really enjoy December and preparing for Christmas with little stress. That probably won't ever happen again in my life but it was nice while it lasted to be prepared with gifts, baking, christmas cards, and savoring the season with time off. It was kind of nice.
I wish you all a great last week preparing for Christmas! Safe travels and Merry Christmas to all!
