An Early Christmas Celebration...

We celebrated Christmas on Dec 22 in Wis Rapids with my family. My brother Eric, his wife and my little nephew Connor came for a visit along with Kara and her boyfriend. We spend the day hanging out at home, eating a lot, opening gifts and playing games. For dinner my grandma, grandpa and aunt came for a yummy dinner of beef roast, mashed potatoes and all sorts of yummy food including pumpkin pie and mini cheesecakes for dessert. We had a great time together and I wish it lasted longer than a day. I enjoyed being able to see my nephew Connor again and chasing him around! He is 15 months and so much fun! He grew so much since I saw him last 3 months ago.. wish I could see that little guy more often! It was nice to celebrate early. When you have a family full of children who all work in public service either work as police officers, firefighters, or at a hospital (social worker and nurse) you have to realize that its going to be rare to all have an actually holiday together!

I was hoping to drive seperate from Jon and stay til Christmas as he is working the next few nights but due to the weather forecast our plans changed. I decided I would rather drive with him and come back early and not chance getting horibble weather of freezing rain/snow for my commute back. I think I made the right decision. We got a few inches of snow in Racine last night already, its a winter wonderland here!
I am hoping to find a Candelight service to attend with Jon tonight... our celebrations continue on Christmas day evening and the 26th at night. How fun!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL! DRIVE SAFE:)
