This weekend, we had an unfortunate change of plans. We were planning to go camping but heard unfortunate news last Tuesday that my uncle Les's mother passed away unexpectedly at the age of 74 of a sudden heart attack or something of that sort. I am very close to my cousin Sara and like a sister to her so to hear that her grandma died was a definite shock. I knew that our family was no longer camping this weekend but instead attending a funeral and being there for our extended family. This lady was a great women of God of who entered heaven this week all in God's perfect timing. One of the most difficult things at the visitation was watching a 98 year old women at the funeral mourn the death of her good friend who was 24 years younger die unexpectly. Why does God let someone live to the late age of 98 and lose her younger friend?? Our Days are counted and in control by God, we probably will not understand ever.
One hidden blessing at the funeral was that my mom's siblings from MN came for a quick visit to the funeral visitation on Friday to support the family. My uncle Dale in his 40's who had a stroke last Sept and complications and who many of you prayed for came with for the trip... Many extended family members and friends of our home church got to reunite with true miracle, my Uncle Dale who had overcome all odds in this past year due to the prayers of hundreds.. He was walking, looking like himself, laughing and saying a few words.. he is such an inspiration to our family and his smile truly brightened up the atmosphere..
Sometimes its hard to understand God's plan for but he is sovereign over all... Thanks be to God for his power, wisdom, grace and love..
