Review of "The Knowing"

Jon and I had a date night tonight. It was a great night. We ended up going out for dinner, some closeout camping supply shopping at Sportsmans' Warehouse (bought nothing though), to a movie and then to barnes and noble.

The movie we ended up seeing was "The Knowing". I knew a little bit about it and had seen a preview for it but didn't realize how scary parts were! Ugh! I am not fan of scary movies but at least I was with Jon. I think he got annoyed I was grabbing his arm throughout the movie, but the truth is he probably was scared at times too. The movie is INTENSE and really good overall. The main storyline is about a 50 year elementary time capsle that gets opened and there is a letter inside with a series of numbers. The numbers are found to be predicting every major catastophe of the pat 50 years.. The story then goes on as they try to determine what these events are and what is going to happen next. Its a very well done movie with lots of twists and great cinematography. The movie has some underlying biblical references and things that might cause people to think about thier own purpose in life, faith and beliefs an unintentionally. I don't want to say too much, but you should all go see it.

We also had fun wandering at Barnes and Noble. I got the new "Handle with Care" book by Jodi Piccolt. I am so stoked to read it. I love a good book. Jon suprised me with actually wanted a book too. He got a true crime police book. I am glad he at least found something that is interesting to him and I love that he wants to read, that is a change. Its a lot better than playing stupid XBOX in my opinion (ugh that urks me!)

So go see "The Knowing" and HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!

OMG Chris has a playstation 3 (his brother got it for him) and that thing bugs the crap out of me. I really do hate that thing. So I hear ya on the XBOX.
